Some special characters will not display in playlist title, song name, or album name when syncing to some iPod models

Arrow characters  (←, ↑, →, or ↓) used in playlist titles, song names, or album names in iTunes will not be displayed when synced to certain iPod models.

In the following example, if you create the following playlist titles in iTunes:

  • “t↑es←t”
  • “↑t→e←s↓t”
  • “↓Hello↑”
  • “テ↓スト→”

They will appear as the following playlists on affected iPod models (see Additional Information below for a list of affected models):

  • “test”
  • “test”
  • “Hello”
  • “テスト”

However, if you sync the same playlists to an iPhone, iPod touch, or other iPod model, the arrow marks will appear in the playlist, title, or name.
